looking at the extensive bandaging around my left foot, one would think i had a bad injury. fracture to say the least. and from any sport OTHER than bowling. my 14.7 pound ball has battered my left ankle until it could not take anymore pain. it gave in to on thursday, the 10th of February. it is now resting in peace, elevated on the sofa. no bowling for a week. DARN. just my luck. league's coming up.

well well. i really wish to play in a symphonic band again and i think i am going to give the TPJC band another try. it all happened during a piano practise session. i had found an old book ('75 famous songs for the piano', Mammoth) and i just browsed through the book, selecting various songs to play. i found Franz Lehar's Vilia, from the Merry Widow, and played it. then i remembered how great it was to just be part of a bigger piece of music. and i now feel like playing in a band again. the MJC band experience was a good one.

see the problem is i dont like MJC but i like their band. i like TPJC but i dont like their band. and i cant bowl. not now!

damn. the past few days have been quite fun though. and rewarding. with the absence of Meliana Halim, my sms distribution has been mainly concentrated on the usual suspect, Chelsea Wee, and a certain Sarah Chang. i hope the latter can cope with my knack of finding things to say even when there's nothing to say. hahaha. a worthy adversary, though she's armed with only 300 per month, compared to my relatively large 1000 sms quota. wonder what life'd be without technology.

Chinese New year celebration was GREAT. our preparation was worth it and i think our band was much more focussed than previous times. haha. we pulled it off with a few impromptu tricks and showmanship gimmicks. like we stopped halfway to tell yan chen he was playing the wrong song. we requested for two mikes on stage but the ava boys forgot totally about our request. i had a 2 minute long drum solo and during the solo Yan Chen and Joe ran around the audience to throw specially designed guitar picks into the audience. haha. gong xi fa cai, loyang secondary.
