i got promoted! yay(?). i am midway through my holidays and loving every minute of it. i cannot imagine how people can actually get bored during their holidays. the world is much bigger than most people think!
oh and god-damned bullshit PROJECT WORK is finally over. fuck i've never hated anything so much. (ok, maybe Chinese but Chinese B has somewhat removed that hate). i shall not elaborate. the only thing i learned from pw is that i am not suited for the corporate world. my guess is that IF i actually did climb the corporate ladder, i'd probably have at least 9 knives in my back by the end of the first week. i am too idealistic.
so.. i have decided! my future vocation should probably centre around the teaching profession. what'd be ideal would be a jc music teacher. i never got to experience mep in a junior college and with me having a late start to my musical journey (10 and a half years old), there's no chance of me ever making it as a performer. surveys conducted have reflected the general sentiments of the public and approximately 65% of the general population can see me as a teacher/educator, though approximately 30% of the latter could only see me teaching something other than music. nonetheless, i have already plotted out my probable career path, provided nothing happens to my body (insyallah/touch wood/choy).
..we shall see.
as for my holidays, i went on a cruise (superstar virgo) on the 13th to the 16th, despite the fact that i had to hand in my gpf on the 16th. i hated pw so much and i just had to leave. also, some promotion lowering prices on that cruise ended on the 18th and my parents were looking to take full advantage of that promotion.
the cruise was to firstly penang, then phuket and then back. i thoroughly enjoyed myself and i cannot remember another holiday that i enjoyed so much. this year was shit. a year full of regrets, confusion and bitterness. cannot tahan. phuket was undoubtedly the highlight of the trip. i could actually see my toe(nail)s from above the water! amazingly beautiful. and this is only phuket! the world has so much more! but the sad truth is that 'it is a wonderful world' only to those who have the means to enjoy her. i'd never have the means to enjoy the Bahamas.
penang, however, was a waste of time. it looked like Singapore and the prices were actually more expensive. only good things that came out of penang were the delicious, albeit unhealthy tidbits.
my holidays are never long enough. this one will not be an exception.
i'll leave you a quote by one of the great philosophers of the 21st century -
'many people blog because they don't want people to see their blog but they want people to see what they're writing about'
