with the block tests beginning tomorrow, i am here listening to mr brown. haha. i have been literally plagued by illness ever since the end of term 2. beginning with a ear infection (in the first week of the june hols, i actually thought i was going deaf and to much embarrassment, actually sought the help of Mr David Glosz, whom i thought should have been the one in the know when it came to issues related to hearing loss), i eventually went to a doctor to take antibiotics, desperate to get well before my Perth trip, which was in the 2nd week. i did get well during the perth trip, popping 4 pills a day, but the rigorous schedule (not to mention the nights of glorious alcohol consumption) took its toll on me and upon arriving in Singapore, i was flat out exhausted, i.e vulnerable to a whole host of viruses, of which i have contracted one that has not let me off for about two weeks. SO.. block tests are screwed.
i've got two gigs coming up. 15th july at rj and 28th (i think) at Orchard Road (orchardJam). both are with the iCtalent band. i don't exactly like the music they play but hey, live shows are an experience! also, given the amount of time available, not much of a choice left haha. on top of that, my much anticipated Diploma ABRSM in Piano Performance is coming up. finally, after how many years. my grade 8 exam, honestly, was a big big fluke, hence the long period of preparation. not exactly confident of a distinction but confident of a pass. lastly, remember the August concert (aug 6th) at the Esplanade Concert Hall with the SAJCCB! after that it will be time for some serious studying. haha. problem is, prelims come two weeks after the august concert. good luck huh. my rationale for going through all this? read the previous few blog entries.
anyways, better sleep. sleep now or during gp. its an obvious choice. that i'm not necessarily willing to make. heha. good night all! look forward to a post about the Perth trip once i get my pictures from my friends!
